Your biggest fear

The last thing you want is another company fixing your crane.

A hoist goes down, you can’t get parts, and nobody picks up the phone. Your customer calls someone else to make it right — and that’s the part they remember.

Why Starke

The quality of the big brands without the wait or the runaround.

Here’s what you get when you buy direct from a manufacturer that actually answers the phone:

Win the jobs you're losing to lead times.

Starke keeps hoists, radio controls, end trucks, crane kits, and safety gear on the shelf, so you can quote real availability and bid work you'd otherwise have to pass on.

Reach someone who actually knows cranes in 15–20 min.

Call during business hours and a real person who knows crane systems answers or calls right back. No phone tree, no four-hour wait, no language barrier.

Get help speccing the job (even one you've never built before).

Not sure on voltage, I-beam, or capacity? Send us what you've got and you've got a crane guy to bounce it off — so you order the right parts the first time.

Buy direct from the manufacturer.

No middleman between you and the people who make the product. Just a better price and a straight answer.

Manuals and labeling built for American crane builders.

Owner's manuals rewritten out of the overseas "Chinglish," plus clear amp-rating and ID tags, so your techs aren't guessing in the field or converting metric specs to American standard in their heads.

You don't trade quality for speed or price.

Our hoists, end trucks, and chain hoists hold up in the field. All our products have been heavily tested so buying faster and cheaper never means settling for less.

About Us

When a crane goes down or a hoist breaks, you don’t need a part. You need someone who picks up.

Back in the early ’90s, across the Midwest, I was the guy out in the field fixing farm equipment when it quit with the owner standing right next to me, his crop still in the field and the weather closing in.

That's where I learned that when a machine goes down, people aren't really waiting on a part — they're waiting on an answer, and they need it now. Every hour it sits costs them money they don't get back.

Cranes came later

I spent years on the sales and project management side of overhead crane systems, sitting with builders to figure out exactly what a job needed. I learned that no two crane systems are ever quite the same. And I kept running into the same thing I saw in those fields years earlier: the parts weren't there when people needed them, and when something went wrong, nobody who actually knew the product picked up the phone.

That's the whole reason Starke runs the way it does. We keep the components crane builders use most on the shelf, ready to ship. With us, you're not waiting three months to quote a job you could win this week. And when you call, you get a real person who knows cranes — a real crane guy, usually inside fifteen or twenty minutes. No phone tree. No callback that never comes.

I know how much is riding on it for you. The last thing any builder wants is to put up a crane and then have to send his own customer to somebody else to fix it. My job is to make sure that never happens on our parts.

I'm not out to be the biggest name in the industry. I want to be the one that picks up, tells you the truth about lead time, and stands behind what we ship. That's how I'd want to be treated and that's how we do it here. Because at the end of the day, we're not in the crane-parts business. We're in the business of keeping American crane builders working.

More about Starke

Built on your feedback

You tell us it’s not right. We change it — on the next run.

Because we make the product, we can improve it. When a crane builder flags something, it doesn’t vanish into a suggestion box, it shows up fixed on the next production run.

A dealer in [STATE] told us the [PART] on our [PRODUCT] kept [PROBLEM]. Within [TIMEFRAME], we [WHAT CHANGED] — and every unit since has shipped that way.

Our crane builders

You take care of your customers. We’re built to take care of you.

There’s a certain kind of builder who does well with Starke. The kind who answers the phone, stands behind the work, and won’t put up a crane they wouldn’t stake their name on.

Place holder: Paul talking about the ideal customer and why we're a good fit for them.
You take pride in the job.

Your name is on every crane you install, so "good enough" isn't good enough — you'd rather do it right than do it cheap.

You're the one who shows up.

When your customer has a problem, you pick up and you handle it. You just need a supplier who does the same for you, instead of leaving you on hold.

You want a straight deal.

A real person who's serviced cranes, an honest lead time, and a fair price — not a phone tree, a rotating cast of reps, and a runaround.

Your first order

Three steps. That’s it.

It starts with a no-obligation quote and ends with a crane on its way. Here’s how it goes:

  1. Send an RFQ

No full spec required — send what you've got, even "I need to lift this much, right here," and we'll help you nail down the voltage, I-beam, and capacity.

  2. Review the quote

Usually back in 3–4 hrs, with real availability and an honest lead time. With Starke, you can turn around and quote your customer with confidence.

  3. Place the order

Give the go-ahead, schedule delivery, and pay on agreed terms. Most items ship in days, and your crane's on its way and on time.

What success looks like

The crane goes up. Your reputation goes up with it.

Here’s what changes once Starke has your back:

Starke price guide cover
You win the jobs you used to lose.

The work that used to walk out the door while you waited on a supplier, you're landing those jobs now.

You deliver on time, every time.

Parts are on the shelf, so the crane goes up on schedule, no excuses to your customer.

You're never left stranded.

When an overhead crane or hoist needs attention, someone who's worked on cranes is on the phone in minutes, and replacement parts ship next day.

You become the go-to builder.

Your customers trust you, keep coming back for the service work, and never have a reason to call anyone else.
